What is Reflexology?Foot 1

Reflexology is the massage of particular areas of the body, usually focused on the feet, which is believed to help the body’s natural healing defences. It is a soothing process designed to:

  • Increase relaxation
  • Improve mood
  • Aid sleep
  • Relieve tension
  • Improve a sense of well-being

Originating in China, around 5000 years ago, Reflexology lends itself to many other natural therapies, such as acupuncture and shiatsu.

What can I expect from a session?

Your first session will involve a consultation to determine your lifestyle and health, both in the present and the past. Treatment involves a light pressure to areas on the feet and sometimes the hands. Sessions usually last for one hour, and repeat treatments can be prescribed.
