What is Hopi Ear Candling?candle

Hopi Ear Candling is the commercial term used to describe Thermal Auricular Therapy. The treatment has been handed down through civilisations, and is believed to have originated with the Ancient Greeks, for spiritual cleansing and healing. However, the modern world was introduced to the practice by the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona. Ancient paintings show the ear candles and their importance in healing ceremonies of the tribe.

Hopi Ear Candling is a revitalising, non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a number of conditions. The ear candles used induce a pleasant heat upon the head and ears, which leaves a relaxing and rejuvenating feeling for the client.

What can I expect from a session?

The candles work as chimneys do, drawing impurities from the ears where they can be carefully removed. The heat from the candles can also equalise the pressure in the ears and head. The secretion from the ears is gently stimulated and the vapour from the heat removes any deposits. The treatment is performed gently and in a calm environment for an intensely relaxing experience from beginning to end.
